Iceland has solidified its position as a leader in the field of cyber security, ranking 10th among European nations and placing in the top 10% worldwide in the 2024 International Telecommunication Union's cyber security index. This leap from 31st place in 2020 highlights the country's significant strides in enhancing its cyber resilience. Iceland's score of 99.1 out of 100 is based on five key pillars of cyber security, including legal frameworks, technical measures, organizational strategies, capacity-building efforts, and international cooperation.
