This leap from 31st place in 2020 highlights the country's significant strides in enhancing its cyber resilience. Iceland's score of 99.1 out of 100 is based on five key pillars of cyber security, including legal frameworks, technical measures, organizational strategies, capacity-building efforts, and international cooperation.

Minister Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir attributes the country's success to its comprehensive cyber security plan and strong collaboration between public and private sectors.
